Product Launches
Where the product has to be the focal point and the styling has to direct attention to it rather than compete. Usually the tightest bump in windows and the most media photography, so the room has to work from every angle.
Corporate
Corporate event styling for launches, gala dinners, award nights and end of year functions. On brand without being a trade stand, and delivered to a bump in window that the venue has actually agreed to.
Corporate event styling from $1,200, quoted on scope.
A different set of constraints to a wedding, and tighter ones.
Corporate events are judged differently to private ones. Nobody at a gala dinner is emotionally invested in the centrepieces, but everybody notices if the room feels cheap, if the branding is clumsy, or if the AV rig is visible from every seat. The work is about getting the room to read as considered while surviving a set of constraints weddings never face.
Different formats, the same operational discipline.
Where the product has to be the focal point and the styling has to direct attention to it rather than compete. Usually the tightest bump in windows and the most media photography, so the room has to work from every angle.
Long form seated events where guests are in the room for four hours or more. Sight lines to stage, centrepiece heights that clear a presentation, and styling that holds up under stage lighting rather than only under daylight.
Welcome receptions, networking functions and closing dinners attached to a larger program. Often in a space being reset between sessions, which makes the install schedule the hardest part of the job.
The busiest period in the Sydney calendar. November and December book out early at every good venue and with every good supplier, so these are the events worth locking in months ahead.
From $1,200, quoted on scope. The variables are guest numbers, how much of the room is being transformed, whether any installation needs rigging or specialist labour, and how tight the bump in window is, since a compressed install sometimes needs additional crew.
Yes. Send the guidelines with the enquiry and the direction is developed against them. The honest advice is usually to carry brand through a few deliberate decisions rather than every surface, because saturation reads as a trade stand rather than an event.
Shabz styles the room and coordinates the styling suppliers. Where an event needs full planning across AV, catering and entertainment, that is scoped as planning work and quoted separately. Many corporate clients already have AV and catering under contract with the venue.
Six to eight weeks is comfortable for most corporate events. For November and December, book several months ahead, because that period books out across venues and suppliers alike. Shorter timelines are sometimes workable depending on what needs sourcing.
Tell Shabz about your event and a considered response follows within 24 to 48 hours.
