A milestone birthday for sixty people at home is frequently more complicated to style than a two hundred guest event at a function centre. The venue has a loading dock, a lighting rig, staff and a floor plan that has worked a thousand times. A house has a driveway, a kitchen already in use, and furniture that has to go somewhere.
That is the actual work in private celebrations. Where does hire get delivered and staged. What has to be moved out before anything can be moved in. Where is the bar, where do people gather, and how does the space handle sixty people when it comes furnished for six. Getting these right is what makes a home event feel effortless.
The styling itself tends to concentrate on a few areas rather than the whole house: an entry moment, the main gathering space, a grazing or bar surface, and the area where any formal moment happens, whether that is a speech, a cake or a toast.
For christenings and anniversaries there is often a religious or family element with its own requirements. Shabz will ask about these rather than assume, because getting them wrong is worse than not styling them at all.

Yes. Home events need more planning than venue events, since there is no operations team, no loading dock and often no back of house. A site visit before the quote is finalised is strongly recommended.
