What the $1,200 Floor Covers
A real starting point, published so nobody wastes anybody time.
Most stylists will not publish a number, which means the first conversation is spent working out whether you are even in the same range. Shabz publishes the floor so that conversation is unnecessary.
From $1,200 covers styling for smaller events: an engagement party, a corporate function, a milestone birthday or a private celebration. In practice that is a focal installation such as a backdrop or entry moment, styled tables to a consistent language, and the detail that ties them together, with florals coordinated through the supplier network where the event calls for them.
Where an event goes above the floor is usually one of three things: guest numbers, the amount of the room being transformed, or an installation that needs rigging, a longer install window or specialist labour. All three are visible in the quote before anything is committed.
Weddings sit on a separate scale, from $5,000, because the install day is longer, the ceremony is a second styled space, and the tolerance for anything going wrong is zero.
The Kinds of Events Shabz Styles
Different occasions, the same standard of attention.
- Corporate events
- Product launches, award nights, gala dinners, conference welcome functions and end of year events. Styling that carries a brand without turning the room into a trade stand, and that works under the lighting the venue actually has.
- Engagement parties
- Usually the first event a couple styles together and often a rehearsal for decisions they will make again for the wedding. Smaller, warmer and more relaxed, with the styling focused on one or two strong moments rather than the whole room.
- Private celebrations and milestone birthdays
- Fortieths, fiftieths, anniversaries, christenings and family gatherings. Often held at home or in a hired space rather than a function venue, which changes what is possible and what has to be brought in.
Across all of them the working method is the same. One person scopes the event, sources what is needed through the supplier network, is on site for the install and returns for the pack down.

Hire, florals and any specialist elements sourced through the supplier network and booked against the venue delivery windows. You deal with Shabz, not with five separate suppliers.
Install and Pack Down
Shabz is on site for the install and returns afterwards for the pack down. Nothing is left behind for the host to deal with at the end of the night.

Yes. Home events change the logistics rather than the approach, since there is no venue operations team, no loading dock and often no back of house. That needs to be planned rather than improvised, so home events benefit from a site visit before the quote is finalised.
Usually yes. Many venues include centrepieces or basic linen, and there is no sense paying twice for the same thing. Shabz will look at what is already included and style around it, which often makes the budget go further.
Four to eight weeks is comfortable for most non wedding events. Shorter timelines are often possible depending on what is being sourced, so it is worth asking. Peak periods, particularly November and December for corporate work, book out earlier.
Yes. Shabz is Sydney based and travels to Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and the Central Coast. Travel and any accommodation is itemised in the quote rather than buried in it.
