One Contract, One Contact
You receive one quote and speak to one person. Shabz holds the relationships, the bookings and the follow up with each supplier behind it.
Hire Coordination
Shabz does not own a warehouse and does not hold hire stock. What he has is six years of relationships with the hire companies that do, which means pieces are chosen because they suit your event, not because they happen to be in one inventory.
Hire is coordinated as part of styling, from $1,200 for events and from $5,000 for weddings.
One point of contact instead of five.
Being direct about this, because the industry usually is not. Shabz is a stylist, not a hire company. He holds no inventory, owns no warehouse and has nothing sitting on a shelf that needs to be used. That is a genuine advantage to you, and here is why.
A hire company will style your event with what it owns. That is not dishonesty, it is the business model. But it means the arbour you get is the arbour they have, and the chairs are the chairs they bought three years ago. The styling gets shaped by the inventory rather than by your wedding.
Working through a network inverts that. The direction is set first, against your venue and your budget, and then Shabz goes and finds the pieces that serve it, from whichever supplier actually has the right thing. If that means chairs from one company, linen from another and an installation built by a third, that is what happens.
What you avoid is the coordination burden. Multiple suppliers means multiple contracts, multiple delivery windows, multiple contacts and multiple opportunities for something to arrive at the wrong time. Shabz holds all of that. You deal with one person, receive one quote, and the delivery windows are booked against the venue schedule rather than left to chance.
What Shabz will not do is advertise items as available for hire from him, because they are not his to hire out. Anything on this page describes what can be sourced, not what sits in a shed.
Described honestly as sourcing, because that is what it is.
The pieces are the easy part.

Hire arriving during another event bump out is one of the most common failures at a busy venue. Delivery is booked against the venue operations schedule and confirmed, not assumed.
Scale is the thing inventories get wrong. What works in a marquee is undersized in a ballroom. Sourcing across suppliers means the piece can be matched to the ceiling height and room depth you actually have.
Shabz is on site for the install and returns for the pack down, and the hire goes back to the supplier. Nobody in your family is loading a van at midnight.
No. Shabz does not hold hire stock and does not operate as a hire company. Hire is sourced through a network of suppliers and coordinated as part of a styling booking, which is a different service to dry hire.
Not usually in any way that matters, and the comparison is rarely like for like. Hiring direct means you carry the coordination, the delivery scheduling, the install and the return across several suppliers. What you are paying for here is that work being done, and the pieces being chosen for your room rather than from one catalogue.
Most do, particularly on anything suspended, anything fixed to a wall, and anything with an open flame. Those restrictions are confirmed with venue operations before the styling is quoted, so nothing is designed that cannot legally be installed.
Often yes, including vintage rugs, antique and occasional furniture and unusual glassware, where the direction calls for texture rather than uniformity. Unusual pieces need more lead time, so raise them early rather than late.
Yes. Delivery windows are booked with the venue, Shabz is on site for the install, and the pack down and return to suppliers is handled after the event.
Tell Shabz about your event and a considered response follows within 24 to 48 hours.
